Nope，read until 40%， skimmed until 60% at which point I didn‘t really care what is happening。 It doesn‘t make sense。 Don‘t like the main character， don’t like the conversation and the story is just meh。

DNF @ 79%。 So close but I just couldn’t make myself care enough to finish。 I’m on a Lucifer kick so I gave this one a try— the main character acted and spoke like a 14 year-old having a tantrum。 Yeesh。

Really really good！！Captivating story from start to end。 I could barely put the book down。 The heroine Melody is badass and has attitude to boot。。 lol loved how she kept up with her demons every step of the the way and gave as good as she good。 Good twist at the end to find out she was half demon。。 I was wondering and then her mother who was never in her live confirms it！ But dear old mom is an angel now。 How you say？ You’ll have to read and find out！ Enjoy！

Trigger Warnings: Fighting， Murder， Sex Scenes。Hunting Darkness is a Urban Fantasy novel， that takes place in New York， with Reverse Harem elements。 I didn’t think that I’d end up enjoying Hunting Darkness， but…I did！I think what surprised me the most with Hunting Darkness， is that there was only one point of view。 I love the point of view that we read from。The POV that we read from is Melody。 What I adore about Melody is that she doesn’t hold back。 Melody is actually the kind of person who does Trigger Warnings: Fighting， Murder， Sex Scenes。Hunting Darkness is a Urban Fantasy novel， that takes place in New York， with Reverse Harem elements。 I didn’t think that I’d end up enjoying Hunting Darkness， but…I did！I think what surprised me the most with Hunting Darkness， is that there was only one point of view。 I love the point of view that we read from。The POV that we read from is Melody。 What I adore about Melody is that she doesn’t hold back。 Melody is actually the kind of person who doesn’t let anybody get close to her。 In fact， Melody is very much the loner。 She keeps people beyond arms length with her angry-bitchyness that is very effective in keeping everyone away。What I also like about Melody is that she doesn’t mince her words。 Melody swears so much in Hunting Darkness， and I love it。Onto the story now…。 There were a few minor things here and there that were predictable to me， but I’m OK with that。 With the story being a smidge predictable here and there， that actually made the story more enjoyable in my eyes。There were also moments throughout the story that managed to surprise me as well。The slow burn romance was interesting to read。 Though I’m quite intrigued about how the romance will escalate in the next novel， Hunting Light。Truth be told， I genuinely did not think that I would end up enjoying Hunting Darkness as much as I did。 At best I thought that Hunting Darkness would be an alright novel， which would then make me uninterested in reading further into the series。 However， the complete opposite happened。 I enjoyed reading Hunting Darkness way more than I thought I would， and I’m happily looking forward to reading the next book（s）。Overall， I give Hunting Darkness， 4 stars。--Have you read anything by Savannah Rose？ Did you enjoy what you read？ Hunting Darkness is the only thing I’ve read by Savannah Rose （so far）， and I’m quite happy that I actually enjoyed reading Rose’s work。 。。。more

I enjoyed this book， it doesn't quite feel like a four star for my rating system but it is definitely above a three。 So my rating is 3。5。 The characters in this book are really well done。 Melody is a really refreshing character， she is not your typical female lead she is full of blood lust， has a fairly violent nature， is impulsive and prickly。 Lucifer is typical in the sense that he is has more moral than expected but it still a good character and a little soft at times。 I love Brotus， the dark I enjoyed this book， it doesn't quite feel like a four star for my rating system but it is definitely above a three。 So my rating is 3。5。 The characters in this book are really well done。 Melody is a really refreshing character， she is not your typical female lead she is full of blood lust， has a fairly violent nature， is impulsive and prickly。 Lucifer is typical in the sense that he is has more moral than expected but it still a good character and a little soft at times。 I love Brotus， the dark and mysterious with while respectful and a wee bit gentle at times。 Which I thought played really well with the fact he is King Arthur。 I would have liked a little bit more dialogue and relationship building but I understand the lack of it， to a degree， being such a short book。I enjoyed the romance of the book but I do have one dislike， which is the fact that Melody went from being interested but fighting it to full-blown ’I'm so happy’ after sex。 I suppose this goes hand in hand with my previous comment as to the relationship building。 The story was well paced for a short book and had action which progressed the storyline。 I would have liked to have seen a little more from the other characters in the battles/fights。I do feel like the ending could have been a little better with a little more mystery and suggestion to the other book。I will say though the beginning is very long-winded and a little unnecessary。 Melody doesn't leave her building really until you reach 25% of the book。 I found there to be a lot of unnecessary detail at the start。 Overall this was a good easy read and I enjoyed it and I will be reading the next book。 。。。more
